Isobel’s communication skills

December 20th, 2007

Isobel loves porridge for breakfast, but she still doesn’t like scrambled egg.

The other teatime she said “I don’t like egg”

So I grabbed a bit and said “mmmm… I like egg”

Isobel’s eloquent response was “You like egg, but I don’t like egg”

Trip to Birmingham

March 10th, 2007

We had a lovely day out at the Ikon Gallery and Sea Life Centre. It’s worth going to the Ikon just to hear the singing lift!

The Sea Life is rather expensive though considering that it is so small. £12.75 for an adult, £9.75 for a child.

Millie in the press

March 5th, 2007

Millie appeared in Warwickshire council’s TLC magazine when some Americans came over to see how her school are using the Zippy’s Friends system. See the full article here.

Which one is the evil twin? I would usually check for a goatee beard…

Millie’s Poem

My adventures

Written by Millie on 30th December 2006

See me go, see me play

All day, in the hot, hot, hot sun, all day

Do not fear with me here

You sleep and dream tonight

You sing a lullaby in the sky

I dream of being a fight

In the blue, blue, blue night

When I’m sleeping I’m knitting

I do not like me in here

Oh do please fear, I have an idea

Just have a peer at my ear

What do you see? Just tell me

Just tell me again and I’ll pay you ten

I like it too but not that plan

Oh do help me now

OK day, in the night I just have to say

Give me the chance to say nay

Millie in the School Xmas Play

December 17th, 2006

Millie was lead Angel in the school xmas play. She sang a song and had a line. The plot was about the school putting on a nativity play whilst the Ofsted inspectors were in town. Strange. Obviously, Millie was great. Photos at the usual place.

Unfortunately Isobel refused to sit still so it’s Millie by herself this year.

Isobel’s new words

Aside from her multi-purpose point for “Gimme!” and head shake for “Not that, you idiot” she now has a few new words:

Mama - for Liz
Muma - for Millie
Dada
No
Dat
Ta
